In my spare time (and that is pretty hard to come by nowadays!), I enjoy a variety of activities, including working out (at home), meeting up with family and friends, music and dancing, some crocheting (rather seasonal) and losing myself in an engaging psychological/thriller TV series!
I am originally from Kenya, which is one of the East African countries, and yes, I have seen the big five on safari…:)

My Work:
My work involves assessing whether a medication or medical device is doing what it was intended to do in human participants (who are either patients or healthy volunteers) whilst monitoring the safety and well-being of the participants.
-
My Typical Day:
My typical day involves sitting in my home office working on my laptop. Activities include, reviewing and responding to emails, completing reports, supporting and training hospital staff involved in research – also known as clinical studies/projects. I will also review a number of study systems to ensure that the information entered is up to date and complete.
On a regular basis, I am also required to visit hospitals involved in a research study to review participants’ information collected that is related to the study to confirm that it is complete, up to date and accurate. And that the safety, wellbeing and rights of the participants have not been violated.
