-
What is this exhibit?:
Meet Neil and the human brain in this video
The Brain Zone is a wonderful place to learn more about that squishy mass in your head that controls everything you do! Take part in real experiments, confuse your brain with some optical illusions or delve into all the different areas of your brain to find out how this amazing organ makes a human being function every second of the day!
-
Why is this exhibit important?:
Every experience, everything we ever see or hear or think happens in our brain, so learning how they work can help us with so many different, exciting things. Learning about the most complex organ in our bodies can advance our understanding of our basic biology and functions, help us treat problems if they arise or maybe even one day give us some insight into some of the biggest questions, like what it means to be human!
In the Brain Zone we hope to fire up your imagination, get you asking questions and experimenting with our very own brain!
-
Who’s representing this exhibit in I’m a Scientist?:
Hi, I’m Neil a Science Explainer at the Life Science Centre and it’s my job to tell everyone about all the amazing and fun types of science out there (but my favourite is biology)! When I’m not at work you’ll probably find me at home with my cats, playing board games with my friends or writing up the results of my PhD experiments so I can call myself Dr Neil!
