• Question: if you touched a brain with out gloves could you get a disease or would it damage the brain?

      One disease that affects the brain is called Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease. It’s caused by proteins that haven’t folded quite right called Prions. The disease is only infectious if injected from an infected person or part of the brain is eaten!
      Brain surgeons have to touch brains to be able to do their surgery. Luckily they’re very skilled so the don’t do damage to our brains!
