We have found lots of incredible things on Mars, and which of them is the best depends on who you ask! Seismologists (people who study earthquakes) might tell you that the fact that Mars has Marsquakes is the best, whereas Chemists might find it amazing that we know about the chemicals in the Martian atmosphere. The thing that I think it is particularly exciting that we have found smooth rocks and channels cut into the Martian rocks. These must have been formed by liquid water. As Mars is very dry now, sometime in the past it must have had lots of liquid water! Perhaps it was a lot more like Earth millions of years ago!

I think it’s really cool that the Curiosity rover found sulfur, nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorus and carbon in rockbed sample. The reason I find this so interesting is that those molecules are the key ingredients for life! I think it’s possible that there’s life out there somewhere! Maybe not the little aliens people usually think of but some strange new microbe.

I think the coolest thing on Mars is Olympus Mons, the largest volcano in the solar system!
