I got 3A*, 5A, 3B at GCSE, AB at AS level (Music, Biology), AAA (Chemistry, Physics, Maths) at A-level (this was before A* was introduced at A-level), then got a 2:1 in my undergraduate degree and passed my PhD

I did GCE’s before they became GCSE’s. I got 9 A’s and 1B. A levels didn’t have A* in those days, I got 1 A (Chemistry), 2 Bs (Maths, Physics) then at uni I got a First in Chemistry and 3 years later a PhD.

I got As and Bs in GCSE, but CDE in my A levels. I much preferred practical topics than theoretical ones, I learn easier like that!

No-one has asked me this for a long time, so I really have to think hard:
      GSCE’s – 6A’s 2B’s & 2C’s
      A-Levels – B – Chemistry, C – Maths – C
