I play a lot of music. I used to work as a producer in college, and I DJ’d as a part time job.
I love cooking, especially exotic flavours from around the world. I’m mainly vegetarian these days.
I like going to the gym and I run to work when the weather is nice. -

My Work:
I make computer software to interpret medical images, like X-rays and CAT scans using artificial intelligence.
I work part-time as a doctor in the emergency department.
I also do more mathematical work in an area called “graph theory”, which tackles questions about networks. -
My Typical Day:
I wake up and have breakfast with my wife Michelle.
Sometimes I run to work, other times get the train.
I arrive to work, make a cup of coffee, throw on the headphones and start work.
If I’m writing code I listen to electronic music (aphex twin, skee mask, joy orbison, overmono).
If I’m reading or writing papers I usually listen to classical music (Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Albeniz, Scriabin)
I write some code, then see how it works by applying it to some images. Usually I’ll make some mistakes on the first attempt and I’ll go back over it to fix them.
When the code is written I’ll write a paper describing how it works and try to get it published in a scientific journal.
