I did enjoy school- I liked being able to try different things by studying lots of different subjects. I didn’t like exams and tests though!

Looking back, while I found it a bit boring at times, it was great to have so much time with my friends. it wasn’t always fun. exams were difficult, and I found some classes quite boring. I was also quite shy, so making friends wasn’t particularly easy – but I realised in the end, everyone is in the same boat.
I recommend to enjoy school as much as you can, get involved in clubs, try to figure out what subjects you like and have a laugh with your class at every opportunity -

I loved school overall, but there were definitely some hard bits and subjects that I didn’t like. I had a great time but wouldn’t go back to it.

I loved learning new things, I hated PE, and I did get bullied as I was seen as a ‘swot’. Overall, yes I did, and I actually still keep in touch with some of my teachers. There are bits of school that I wouldn’t want to repeat though and I would have some advice for my younger self looking back.

Yes I did, not everything of course, playing hockey badly on a freezing cold wet day is not in my top ten activities, but I was a lot more academic than sporty!

I enjoyed school a klot, both for the learning experience and for the interaction with my friends!

I enjoyed parts of going to school, like learning new stuff.
I think the hardest thing was how mean some kids can be, but you know that it ends and then you never have to see them again!

I definitely enjoyed parts of school, especially being with my friends and learning new things. I sometimes found it difficult if there was a subject I struggled with or topics I wasn’t that interested in, but I found that it was really important to just try your best! I also got involved in lots of extra curricular activities (choir, drama club, hockey, athletics) which helped me alot with my confidence and also meeting other students in different classes and year groups to me.

I loved junior school. Secondary school was more mixed. I loved learning and had some good friends and some good teachers, but I hated the bullies and the abuse I had to put up with from other pupils. I was glad to leave.

At the time I don’t think I had any strong opinions about school. I knew what I liked and I liked what I knew. I don’t know how I compartmentalised all of the different topics I did. I loved languages at the time but now I struggle with duolingo. Years 7 – 11 were a joy, chatting to friends, reading different books, we had an interhouse quiz at christmas which was sooo good.
Sixth form was a steep learning curve for me so I had to work really hard and faced a lot of disappointments but it lead to here, and loads of amazing experiences along the way. -

Yes and no. I enjoyed learning but I was bullied in secondary school. I was much happier at University.

Some bits I did enjoy but there was a lot I don’t miss. Classes, subject work was fine and I enjoyed PE although I wasn’t very good at rugby in school. I enjoyed science experiments for sure and the more hands-on aspects at school.

I enjoyed learning new things, especially biology practical sessions. I did not always enjoy chemistry and physics. I wish those subjects were taught better. My Maths teachers were great, I also had personal tutoring, which helped me to enjoy the subject a lot more!

Overall I liked school but there was definitely some aspects I found boring, such as having to do subjects I wasn’t interested in. But I enjoyed learning and being around my friends

I really did enjoy school and learning lots of new things. Some subjects I preferred more than others (for example I loved biology and chemistry, but not so much history and English). At the time school can feel like it’s very hard and boring, but looking back on it now I really did enjoy my time there with my friends doing lots of different activities. The older and more confident in myself I got, then the more I was able to feel comfortable and enjoy school.

Yes, I did enjoy my school. I think the excitement of learning so many different things and really good teachers and friends made most of my schooling time enjoyable. Also, there was freedom to study different subjects like language, history, sciences, literature which I really appreciated

I won’t lie, I was a bit of a troublemaker. But I did enjoy the things that I learned, and that helped me to focus a bit more during my GCSEs. It’s never too late!

I did! And there was a few years after I left high school when I wasn’t at school. I missed it and I went to University because I liked to learn. I’m still here!
