It’s the title you get after your doctorate studies. These studies are different from your classes at school, where a teacher explains things and you do an exam afterwards. To get a PhD, you have to do research, in any field, and come up with something that is new and no one has done before. So, we get to learn something new of the world we live in.

Doctor of Philosophy. In the UK sometimes it is DPhil instead of PhD

PhD stands for ‘Doctor of Philosophy’!

It actually means that I spent a long time (like, a really long time) studying and researching a specific topic in science (aquaculture).

Basically, I’m a superhero scientist with a fancy title that stands for ‘Pretty hardworking and Dedicated’. Okay, not really, but I do have a cool-looking lab coat!
