I live with my partner in Hove. I am a neuroscientist, working in the University of Sussex.
When I am outside the lab, I like to read science fiction and fantasy books, hiking, going the gym and latin dancing. -

My Work:
I study how the brain’s internal state (wakefulness, arousal, etc.) affects the visual response of a part of the visual system called the superior colliculus.

My Typical Day:
I wake up and have some breakfast (yoghurt and tea). I get to work where my day can include any of running experiments, preparing the lab, analysing data and reading and writing papers. When I finish work I go off to the gym or just relax at home.
