      The chinese first invented the rocket about 1000 years ago. The first rocket in space was the V2 in 1942 and the first rocket to actually carry something into space was the one that launched Sputnik, the first artificial satellite, in 1957.

      There you go guys, Jimi has answered 🙂 Maybe the first ever rocket was one made out of a toilet roll tube and lemonade bottle… you never know, obviously before the real rockets took off!

      Thanks for this question, I had a little look and apparently there were lots of deadly rockets used by Genghis Khan during his invasions…
      I think it is best we use rockets technology to explore the planets and not for war…
