Won’t our brains sleep or take a rest?
Ami_awesome commented on :
Brilliant question @Sammy
Hayley commented on :
So our brains don’t sleep but they do rest. They have a little nap. When you daydream or when you are going off to sleep, the activity in the brain changes and slows down a bit!
ps_no1 commented on :
so our brains never work and they are always doing something even if itsdreaming
Phantom commented on :
I think you mean our brains are always working
Hayley commented on :
You are right!!!
libs:) commented on :
while we sleep our brains are still generating
Hayley commented on :
This is very right! They are. Our brains are always working.

what if we have autism
Sammy commented on :
The brain of an autistic person has an abnormal corpus callosum, which has the colour yellow
Hayley commented on :
Oh Sammy! So in autism, brains are slightly different. There are lots of different changes in the actual brain and the connections made in the brain!
Hayley commented on :
Good question! Yes the brain does work slightly differently and people with autism then respond differently, communicate differently and have different understanding of the world and emotions.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
Sammy commented on :
why are you saying lol?
Deeps 2005 commented on :
if you are right-handed the left side of your brain controls you same with the left
Sammy commented on :
I think you are correct because I just researched about it.
@Deeps2005
A wonderful explanation
Hayley commented on :
You are right! 🙂
ps_no1 commented on :
I learnt this in year 3 it is really interesting because normally people would think south and sout or north and north will attract but it is actually the opposite
Ami_awesome commented on :
@ps_no1 I do not know what subject you are talking about
No offence
MY NAME JEFF commented on :
I haven’t got a reply yet
widow commented on :
IF you have a small brain does this affect your knowledge?
Hayley commented on :
No not necessarily. It depends how small though. Women usually have smaller brains than men but that is because women tend to be smaller. It is not anything to do with how clever you are. Your brain is clever because it has lots and lots of ridges in it. This increases how many connections are made. If your brain is really really small, there might be less ridges though and yes, it might affect the way you think and what knowledge you can hold.
Phantom commented on :
I don’t think our brains will ever go to sleep. I read lot of books and all of them say our brains never go to sleep. While you are sleeping information moves to the back of your brain. While it does this some of the info will fall into the “dream cloud” and this is why we get dreams. We will get the dream depending on what fell into the dream cloud. I hope this helps if I get this wrong please correct me.
Hayley commented on :
This is perfect! The dreams bit is very complicated. We are’t entirely sure why we have dreams yet though. Sometimes it might be that we dream about what we have done that day and things we have said or watched. We also do things in our dreams like flying which we can’t do during normal life!! So maybe dreams allow us to do things we can’t!
Sharmin_the BEST commented on :
By the way our brains don’t sleep
Ami_awesome commented on :
Good answer @Sharmin_theBest
Hayley commented on :
True true.

Even though brains don’t sleep good question
Ami_awesome commented on :
good answer ! ?
widow commented on :
Omur if you had to be someone’s brain who’s would it be?
Sammy commented on :
Oh! I really appreciate your comment @phantom.
I think our brains are really special 🙂
HarSimpson commented on :
Your brain doesn’t sleep otherwise you can’t dream or you will seem blank.
Sammy commented on :
@HarSimpson
You are right, how can you dream if your brain is not working?
Resh@science commented on :
Phenomenal reply HarSimpson
Sammy commented on :
Guys I really thank you for posting your comments.
Now I have the clear answer for my question. :^
Sammy commented on :
Why do people with Autism have a different functioning brain? 🙂
Hayley commented on :
In autism there are lots of changes in the brain. There are changes in structure and there are changes in the connections made too.
Sammy commented on :
Is this why people with Autism react differently than normal peopl?
Hayley commented on :
Yes 🙂 This is one of the reasons and the main reason for it 🙂
Sammy commented on :
Thanks! 🙂
