      That you have the opportunity to try to find an answer to a question that perhaps nobody else knows.

      I love the discovery of new ways of working, to improve the accuracy of forensic evidence, to make it more effective.

      I agree with all other scientists here but what I would add is that the best thing about working specifically in forensic science, is knowing that your research might help the criminal justice system in the future, which in turn would mean it helps victims of crime.
