I always think that I will continue to do what I am currently doing until it is no longer interesting. I am fortunate that my qualifications mean that I could move in to a few different careers later on but I will only look in to these once this job stops being fun… if it ever does!

I guess I will see where the career takes me. The beauty of the science industry is that there is so much room to move and try different things, so although I currently love where I am, if I fancy a change in the future I may move areas or company. I have also considered other routes like teaching or a science patent attorney (helping scientists get patents for their new drugs/inventions) – there’s so much choice!

i believe that we never stop learning. I did pharmacology and neuroscience, but then my post doc was more in epidemiology which are the techniques i am currently using. I dont wish i did another degree, but i may further develop my career by studying it!

I’ve been very lucky and have had several career changes along the way and worked in different places. That’s the great thing about a science career, there are lots of really interesting options.

When I retire, I might think about doing a different degree – but that’s because i like learning new stuff.

I would like to continue being a researcher if funding is available. I would also like to some more lecturing and public engagement alongside.
