      In my case, i wanted to study the brain, and develop medicines to help people with mental illnesses, but a little bit i fell into it by chance when an opportunity of a phd in depression arose.

      I started off being curious about how blood pressure works…….. and then curious about why some people get hypertension (high blood pressure).

      later I started to explore why stress can contribute to high blood pressure and stokes, heart attacks and other diseases.

      I love working on hormones and have worked on a few (oestrogen, oxytocin, vasopressin and cortisol). My studies on cortisol lead to my work in the current group on stress!
