      i investigate why people get severe mental health problems, and what can we do to prevent healthy people developing these. I also investigate new treatments and try to find a cure. If i succeed this will help millions of people who are currently suffering from mental illnesses.

    I help students that are struggling to understand their science. that’s because I teach people who are training to become nurses or paramedics or other health professionals – and so I like to think I help them in their work with patients.

    I do some other work with people who are very stressed in the community. I help them to develop skills that help them to cope better.
