A chronic disease is one which can’t currently by prevented by a vaccine or cured by medication. It is a health condition that is very long-lasting in its effects, and we usually take that to mean it lasts for longer than 3 months. Some examples of chronic disease are heart disease, arthritis and diabetes, and unfortunately having them without being carefully managed by a doctor often means someone has a much poorer quality of life and is not as mobile as they should be.
A chronic condition is a human health condition or disease that is persistent or otherwise has long-lasting effects. Chronic diseases generally cannot be prevented by vaccines or cured by medication, nor do they just disappear. They also tend to become more common with age, such as arthritis, cardiovascular disease such as heart attacks and stroke.
