      Without knowing your skills this is difficult. However the one thing that I would always suggest is increasing what we called the stretch shortening cycle of the muscle. this is the ability of the muscle to generate force using as little energy as possible, important for jumping during the game. You can do this by first increasing muscle strength, then move onto what we call plyometric training. This will increase the motor neuron firing frequency, thereby increasing the rate at which muscles are recruited, leading to more force being produced.
