Unfortunately there isn’t a simple answer to that one, it really depends how serious the injury is and how well it is able to recover. Some small muscles can get strained and fix themselves in a few days, but for bigger muscles or ligaments like an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury or a hamstring strain like a sprinter might get, it usually takes months to recover. The quickest way to recover is to go to a good physiotherapist or doctor after it happens, and to listen to what they say as they can decide what the best plan for recovery is depending on how the injury looks to them at that time. Unfortunately many people continue to train on an already injured muscle which not only slows recovery down, but tends to make it worse.
It depends on the injury, whether you have strained a muscle or broken a bone for instance. If you have broken a bone this make take 6 weeks for you to recover, maybe longer if the bone is weight bearing, such as a bone in the legs.
