      I assume you mean us as humans. We absorb heat. So for example when we are cold and stand in the sun we start to heat up. This is because the air temperature is hotter than our core temperature and the heat is absorbed. The heat is then moved through the blood to the core of the body to raise the temperature. this will stop until an equilibrium is attained.
