      Hi,
      Thanks for the excellent question!
      I believe conspiracy theories could be dangerous because I have research evidence to show that once people are exposed to conspiracy theories, this can lead to inaction. For example, if you are exposed to the idea that climate change is a hoax, you are less likely to want to reduce your carbon footprint, such as recycling. Similar dangers have been shown in other domains, like vaccination and crime. Conspiracy theories can be fun to talk about, but could have an impact how society runs. The dangers are potentially real that can impact both me and you!
