The whole universe seems a complicated business to destroy all in one go, considering that it’s INFINITE and mostly void!

We know something for sure about the end of OUR world, though!
At some point the Sun will have no way to keep up the nuclear fusion in the same way it is at the moment. It happens to all stars, at that point they switch to nuclear fusion, still, but with different elements. When this will happen, the Sun will get MUCH bigger and hotter! Big enough that it will swallow Mercury, Venus and the Earth in one go!
There is no way to fix it or prevent it, but lucky for us it won’t happen before 6 billions of years, give or take 😉
