• Question: in PhD why is the P and the D capital but not the h?

      Well noticed! PhD stands for ‘Philosophiae Doctor’ which is latin for Doctor of Philosophy. The Ph is just the first 2 letters of the philosophy bit and the D the doctor.

      Of course, if it was all capitals then maybe it would stand for ‘Pizza Hut Delivery’. Or ‘Poor Hungry Doctor’. Guess it’s lunchtime…
