Yes! Loads! Scientists are working on lots of different approaches like nuclear energy, solar energy, battery technology, carbon capture from the atmosphere, electric cars, aeroplane efficiency and loads more.

It’s a big big deal for scientists! Astronomers like me don’t work directly on coming up with new ways to fight climate change like Bradley said, but we help to monitor lands and oceans from the satellites up in space. NASA’s facebook page devotes a lot of attention to satellite imagery like that, if you’re interested!
Yes, there are loads of scientists trying to combat climate change! I’d say that most fields have some link to this issue. For example, my field is concerned with building better computers (hopefully a quantum computer) which would allow us to make much more complicated and accurate climate and weather models as well as improving our chances of finding useful materials to reduce carbon emissions.
