So far, Earth is the only place we know where life (unassisted, cause astronauts can go to the moon) can exist. People are looking into finding if there is water on Mars in the future because it may mean there is life. But so far, our current knowledge tells us that living things are only present on this planet we’re living in 🙂
Mars is the only planet occupied solely by robots as far as we know. There may be life on Mars hidden deep underground, but we just don’t know. So the only things we know of moving around on Mars are the robots we’ve sent there.
The short answer is we don’t know. The surface is unlikely to have life as the environment is very harsh. Also there is no surface water which is necessary for life as we know it. But scientist have found evidence of lakes under glaciers (large ice sheets) which is a more promising place to find life, away from the difficult conditions of the surface.
