When working with cement or in the chemistry lab, I do, but sometimes there is no need to wear a lab coat, like cutting samples

No, but I do get to wear special overalls if I go into a dirty (radioactive contamination) area.

No, but safety clothes when on-site (safety helmet, glasses, safety boots). When construction is nearly finished, there are some areas I would need to where full white “clean” overalls including shoe covers, gloves and cover on head.

No, I’m office-based so don’t need to dress up!
But when I visit nuclear sites sometimes I will need to put overalls on.

I don’t wear a lab coat but if I’m on site I often have to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This includes hard hat, eye protection, ear defenders, steel-toe-capped boots and gloves.
If I am going into a contaminated area I would also need to wear special coveralls with rubber overshoes and gloves that I then must remove carefully when leaving the area – this is to protect my normal clothes and skin from picking up radioactive particles and carrying them out of the controlled area.

Yes! I have different lab coats for different labs. If I’m demonstrating or teaching in the lab I have a blue one to stand out!
