      We think the world was formed from space rocks all clumping together about 4.6 billion years ago.
      Life on earth then probably started around 3.5 billion years ago and the earliest humans about 200,000 years ago, give or take.

      That’s a lot of time! I found it hard to get my head around.
      So let’s imagine we shrink all that time down into one day and said the earth was created at midnight. Humans wouldn’t arrive till about 11.59 in the evening!

      If all the time the earth was around was shrunk to 24 hours:

      00:00 – Earth formed
      04:00 – First life
      22:56 – Dinosaurs
      11:39 – First mammals
      11:58:43 – Early humans.
