      The butterfly effect, as in “small causes can have larger effects”, is definitely a thing. I once had coursework where we computationally modeled orbital planets, and the initial conditions (how the systems starts) had massive consequences on the overall system, and it was a nightmare to work with!

      Small differences can have big, surprising effects on big and complex systems. So I do believe in this concept 🙂
