        I would like to run a STEM event in my local area, a Science Roadshow to get as many people in from the local community as I can and get kids doing hands-on science experiments.

        I would give it to our student chemical society to encourage them to get involved in public engagement activities like this.

        I have a very specific project in mind. It only costs about GBP500 to sequence the genome of a bacterium these days, and I would like to do that as part of a science week at a local school. Details are in my profile. It would allow students to directly contribute to research and learn a lot in the process.
