        Metals have a fantastically diverse chemistry so they can do many things, depending of what you want them to do. The key is what atoms you surround them with. For example, think about a metal called platinum.

        It can be placed at the centre of a cancer drug called cisplatin. In this case the metal binds to DNA of the cancer cells and they die. However, you can also find platinum in rings and other pieces of jewllery
