Hello! Let’s see… it has been 24 years since finishing my PhD, and since then, I’ve been employed as a scientist. But there were 14 years of being a student before that, so, it takes a long time! Studying was a major chunk of my life, and it was also really enjoyable, so the journey is as important as the destination!

Depends on where you start counting from… I started my Chemistry degree in 1979… My PhD in 1983. My first research assistant position was in 1986 and my first academic position in 1988. So a long time!
