I play quite a variety of games, mostly challenging single-player games and/or games with a lot of exploration/discovery of hand-crafted world.
When I was younger, you had to get physical copies of games and money was limited but time was abundant so I often would 100% complete every game I played even if it was a mediocre game. Nowadays, as an adult, I have more money but less time, and it’s easy to get games cheaply by digital download e.g. on steam, so if a game doesn’t hold my attention so I stop playing it. There are so many great games out there that this isn’t much of a problem though.
Some favourites of the top of my head:
* Elden Ring
* Dark Souls
* Sekiro
* Outer Wilds
* The Legend of Zelda series
* Pokemon HeartGold/SouldSilver
* Darkest Dungeon
* Any of the puzzle games by Zachtronics
* Terraria
* Mario Odyssey
* Slay the Spire
* The X-COM series
I like PC video games. So I’m currently playing Valheim, Jedi:Fallen Order, NFS and Apex Legends. I don’t get as much time as I used to, to play games. But I enjoy the occasion evening and weekend sessions when I can.
I think Video games are great for logic building, problem solving skills and also just to let your mind relax.
