I joined my current employer in 2005 for 2 reasons: 1. My previous employer was a company which had been bought by a Russian oligarch and I didn’t like the idea of working for such a person and 2. I: had lost interest in the job I was doing with my previous employer and I wanted a new challenge.

I only just changed jobs 3 weeks ago. So this question is very relevant to me.
I wanted to work for a company with more Apprentices (People straight from School without going to University) and younger graduate engineers, so I can use my mentoring skills and help train them the way I was trained when I was a young Engineer/Scientist.

I chose to move to my current job because I felt I could use the science that I studied and developed at university even more that in my previous job

I was introduced to my current employer through a friend. They knew that I needed a new job and thought that I might have the right skills.
I found the people really nice and the job to be really interesting and helpful to the world, so I took the job when it was offered
