      I used to play the viola when I was at school, and I wish I hadn’t stopped, it was wonderful.

      Not any more, but I used to play the piano and the cello.

      I used to play the piano but didn’t practice enough. I occasionally try to join in with my 6 year old learning the recorder – but mostly I just find it amazing to see how children learn new skills.

      I used to play the violin quite well at school and uni but over the years I haven’t practised enough, so now it sounds awful!

      I play the flute.
      I am a member of the local flute choir and sometimes play in orchestras. Last year I was in a orchestra for an opera and got paid £300.
      I love it because it is completely different to my day job and I have made so many good friends. We even go on holiday together to play our flutes.
      Sometimes we go to care homes and hospitals to entertain the patients and we play at fetes to raise money for charity.

      i had piano lessons when i was a child and played violin at school and the trumpet in the village colliery band.

      as an adult i dont play any musical instruments. im quite sad to have lost the skill and wish i had kept at it

      I used to play saxophone (Alto and Tenor), and euphonium (baby tuba). I still play some piano, and do a lot of singing

      I played a little violin when I was younger, and I tried guitar once but gave up at the F chord… my fingers don’t stretch that far! I sometimes think about trying bass guitar or one day: the hurdy gurdy.

      For now, I don’t play anything regularly. A lot of people in my team play instruments though, so I think it must be a common hobby among computational scientists.

      At school I learned to play the violin, piano and guitar, but I preferred guitar so stopped playing the other two! After I left school I also taught myself to play the ukulele!

      I used to be a drummer, but stopped because I couldn’t play them in my house any more
