Dating fossils is very important, but fortunately for me the rocks I get mine from have already been dated by other people. I’m looking to find out how the fossils grew, I do this by x-raying them in a big machine called a synchrotron. This shows me the insides of the fossil and all the of layers that built up as it grew.
