I’m really passionate about palaeontology and I think it doesn’t get enough time in schools, so I’d love to help to get young people interested in my subject.

That’s a good question! I think all the other scientists are doing interesting stuff – but then I think all parts of science are interesting! I’m the only one doing basic physics – trying to understand the way the universe works on a fundamental level. If you vote for me, I’ll stay in for longer answering questions about those things!

oooh, that’s a hard question to answer. I think that all the scientists on here are amazing and deserve to win!
I think you should vote for me because I am a really enthusiastic scientist, who is very passionate about what I do and I really want to get other people excited about science and show it’s not just for geeks! Winning your vote would hopefully tell me that I am doing something right!

I don’t necessarily want you to vote for me – I don’t mind who you vote for! I just want you all to read my profile and share my enthusiasm for science. If I can make one of you decide to study science at A-level and then uni and to become a scientist, I’d be very happy…

Good question sparta! I guess you should vote with your conscience … but I do think that a lot of people have computers now, sometimes desktop PCs, sometimes in mobile phones, and lots more computers are hidden in MP3 players, DVD players and all sorts of products. They are such a common part of life and I think it’s a real shame that more people don’t understand some of the really fascinating science that goes into make a computer work. Hopefully, I can encourage a few people to do that and think about computers as being interesting in themselves, not just a tool for looking at the Internet!
