I’m trying to understand how protons and neutrons interact with each other. Protons and neutrons are (along with electrons) the building blocks of all atoms, which make up all matter (air, plants, people, water, the earth, rocks, planets, stars, galaxies… really everything).

The protons and neutrons combine to make up the nucleus (central part) of each atom. Most of these nuclei (=plural of nucleus) have at some point spent time inside a star, where they reacted with other nuclei. I try to understand how they were made, and how they interact with each other.
