thanks for your question! I have been interested in science ever since my mum was pregnant with my little brother. I was fascinated by how he was growing inside my mum. After he was born, I turned my attention to worms and was always trying to work out how a worm ate. My very first experiments as a child involved digging up worms and trying to make them eat different types of leaves. I then would leave the worms under my bed much to my mum’s horror. Thankfully, my experiments nowadays are a lot more carefully planned and do not involve harm to any worms!!!

Ever since I was very young I was interested in how the world works, I used to take my toys apart to see how they worked (which usually resulted in breaking them!). I started thinking seriously about a career in science when I was a teenager, maths, physics and chemistry were my favourite subjects at school. I liked music and languages too, but generally I was better at science.
