  I did 4 years for my degree, and I’ve been doing my PhD for 18 months now. But I’ve been collecting fossils since I was a little kid.

  Yes, it’s lots of fun, and there are lots of places to do it. Try to find a local geology club and they’ll give you more information on fossil collecting in your area.
