Great question! I think the most interesting testing that I do is in the vet clinic where I find it really interesting that I can use so many different tests to help me diagnose diseases in people’s pets. For example, I find it fascinating that I can take a small sample of blood from a cat and use a little test called an ELISA test that looks for virus particles in the blood, and within 10 minutes, I know whether a cat has a particular virus that can make it very ill. The test has a little spot that changes colour when I put a drop of the cat’s blood on it. A white spot if the cat doesn’t have the virus, and a blue spot if the cat does have the virus!
