I think the most common parasite on the dog has to be the flea! Lots of dogs (and cats) have them. They can be a real nuisance! It’s important to treat dogs and cats regularly for fleas to stop them from breeding. Did you know that when fleas lay eggs, the eggs fall off the dog’s fur and onto the floor. Here they hatch into little larvae and can stay like this for over a year until they become an adult flea? Most people think that fleas spend all of their lives on the dog or cat, but intact, a lot of their life is spent living on the ground! Are you feeling itchy yet!? 😀
