If we’re talking about cavepeople who lived about 10,000 years ago or even before that, they ate something a lot different from what we eat today. To put it simply, they ate a lot of different kinds of food, whereas we rely on only a select few.
Think about the bread or porridge that you might eat at home… people in England, 10,000 years ago, were relying a lot on wild foods, like root vegetables (potatoes maybe), berries, honey and fruit instead.
What is your favorite meat? Is it beef? Or chicken? Or pork? People in England 10,000 years ago were probably hunting a lot more variety – maybe eating big animals like deer or moose, small animals like squirrels and rabbits, and birds that we would think are weird to eat today, like swan and pigeon.
In many way, having more choices in what you eat is a lot healthier for the body and more nutritious. Isn’t it interesting that we nowadays seem to eat way too many sugary foods and foods that are a bit too salty (chips, for example)?
