• Question: sophie how long did it take to be a scientists

      Its never to early to start asking questions! I think being a scientist means trying to understand how life works and I think I have always been doing that. In terms of professional training though, you need GCSEs, A levels, a degree (3 years) then you can get some science jobs. For research like I’m doing you need more training too, I’ve done a Masters and a PhD at university which took another 5 years. I enjoyed it all along the way though!
