People living around 10,000 years ago survived in a very different way to us. Instead of buying clothes at a shop, they would make their own clothes by hunting animals for their fur. Instead of relying on supermarkets to buy food, they would go out and hunt all sorts of animals, like squirrels, rabbit, deer, wild boar, pigeons, ducks and fish. They lived in caves for shelter and protection, and made fires to cook food and stay warm. They would also gather a lot of their food in the wild, picking berries off trees, scraping sweet tree sap off tree trunks, and digging for root vegetables underground!
