As much as I would like to say a scientist’s name, the person who I am most inspired by is my mother. She basically raised me on her own after my parents broke up when I was 2 – and she was only beginning a new job as an English teacher at the time. But 25 years later, she is now the School Principal – how cool is that??

My mom works very hard and treats everybody she meets with kindness and generosity. I look up to her and even though she is not a scientist, I think aspects of her work ethic and personality make me really motivated in the work I’ve chosen to do, and proud to be her son. 🙂
