Question: how many weather storms has there been?

Hi!

So the UK has started to name the storms that hit the uk, so that people are more likely to remember them. There was a competition to decide them and if you search for ‘storm names’ into Google you can find out more about how they were named and what the names are!

This year, we haven’t had many big storms so there hasn’t been much work for us to do! We still make sure we get information from the beaches though, as there is always a chance of a storm coming at any time!

The stormiest time recently was the winter 2013 storms, and there were 12 of them in three months! Wow!
