• Question: why is the sea blue (ish)

      I know that the answer to this question is a little complicated, and it’s not something I can remember easily, so I referenced a website for your answer:

      “When sunlight hits the ocean, the water strongly absorbs long-wavelength colors at the red end of the light spectrum, as well as short-wavelength light, including violet and ultraviolet. Blue light is absorbed the least.” (The deeper you go the darker the blue the ocean looks because all the other wavelengths have already been filtered out by the water above it! Cool, huh.
