Question: what is your favorite kind of bird?

Hmmm… tough one to answer, but I have to say the red kite. They were extinct in England and Scotland with only a few left in Wales. People began a reintroduction programme in the 1980s and since then they have really bounced back. They are a big bird of prey, but actually only really feed on dead animals and waste (they are scavengers), so they don’t pose any risk to people or pets (they can’t lift heavy things off the ground as they are not very strong). Many of them spend lots of time in our towns and cities, mainly because people are feeding them (raw meat and kitchen scraps)!!! I think that’s amazing!!!
