We need to change the way we behave. Making personal small changes like replacing shorter journeys by car with walking or cycling can make a big difference.

Most human activities have a negative impact on the environment so we need to understand what these are and make good decisions on how to reduce the pollution that each of us is responsible for. This can be as simple as deciding to walk or cycle rather than driving or switching things off when they are not being used to save energy.

We can stop burning plastics, which release toxic gases into the environment. We can be careful with the spray chemicals/pesticides that we use, and ensure that they are not using aerosols and old electronic components like fridges that release chloro-flouro-carbons (CFCs). We can also recycle more products, rather than making materials from scratch. Additionally, we can consume less meat, as the huge demand for animals leads to too many animals being kept.

As the combustion engine is the biggest contributor to air pollution, we can take public transport and/or walk/cycle (when possible). We can also support the drive to replace this fuel source and develop clean energy sources.
