      It is believed so – observations show that the universe started expanding after the big bang and there is nothing to show it stopped or slowed down!

      Yes, scientific observations have shown us that the universe is still expanding. An american astronomer called Edwin Hubble first made these observations in 1925 and was able to prove that the galaxies outside of our own are moving away and those furthest from us are moving the fastest…

      The way I see it:

      If the universe wasn’t still expanding, you’d never know it unless the ‘light’ or gravitational pull from such an event reached us.

      It’s safe to assume it’s still expanding, but keep your eyes peeled–these things can change and boy would that be a frightening day…it would get rather crowded rather fast!
