A lot of health problems that we experience are linked to pollution so you could say that with population growth we need to make more energy and grow more food so we pollute more, however a lot of health issues are also linked to long term changes in people’s lifestyle. There has been a shift to many people being less active and eating more unhealthy foods than we did in the past and this also has a huge impact on our general health.

I wouldn’t say it’s the main cause, but yes, a lot of problems do relate to growing populations. The strain on resources like clean water, food and land exist due to growing populations. The larger the energy demands, the more fuels we burn too. And demands do increase with growing populations.

The main cause of health problems is global inequality. If global health is of interest to you, then become familiar with the Sustainable Development Goals, here: https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/sustainable-development-goals/
